Gameschooling Interview
Asher was nervous to start homeschooling, especially moving out of public school.
His brother and sister are jealous because he spends less time on schoolwork, but he’s jealous because the public school system issued them iPads.
He was super excited and happy to learn we’d be using board games as part of schooling.
His favorite subjects? “Either math or science.” We were surprised but, “there’s the math in board games, those are fun.”
Favorite science game: Periodic, a Game of Elements (more on this in our gameschooling for science post).
He feels he learned the most from Periodic and Subatomic.
We also discuss Orbital Velocity (our review).
Asher surprises us with his opinions on the history games we played. We highly recommend The Grizzled and Pan Am.
What did Asher like about the Timeline games? Although he often walked away frustrated, he really was learning and enjoyed that part. Surprise!
