266 – Games By Kids – The Family Gamers Podcast

Potions Class cards

Fact! Bob Feller, a pretty cool guy who happened to be a baseball pitcher, ended his MLB career with 266 wins.

We always talk about playing games with your kids – but what about playing games designed BY kids?

We were inspired by the People of Play (formerly ChiTAG) Young Inventor Challenge.

Games Designed By Kids

Sleeping Queens, designed by Miranda Evarts when she was 6 years old (with help from her parents & older sister).

Potions Class (Anitra reviewed a few years ago) – Owen Wokasch designed at 9 years old.

Cora Quest was co-designed by Cora Hughes & dad Dan Hughes, who we interviewed back in February.

FrogFlip was designed by Claire Kotarski designed with dad Jason Kotarski, of Green Couch Games.

Mermaid Beach is another Gamewright title designed by a little girl – 8 year old Emily Ehlers. Unfortunately out of print.

Sparta is an abstract 2 player tactical battle designed by Yannick Holtcamp when he was 12 and published by Queen Games when he was 14.

We need more kid-designed games! Please share games designed by your kids…
