Super Short Games
Why? Sometimes you only have a few minutes or you’re just not ready for a long, deep experience (especially with kids!) This doesn’t mean you need a “travel” game, but one that only takes 10-15 minutes.
Suggested by our kids: Onitama, Abandon All Artichokes
We discuss the concept that a short game doesn’t need to feel rushed.
Co-op: If you want super-short, it will probably involve a timer. Panic Island, 60 Second City, Cupcake Academy
2 player: 60 Second City (again), Tussie Mussie (although can be played 3 or 4 player), maybe Drop It or Onitama, Deblockle
Family Games: In Vino Morte, Love Letter, 5er Finden, Stroop (from Grand Gamers Guild), Spot It, Flip-Pix
Strategic (ish): Cinco Linko, Happy City
Solo: Sprawlopolis (but maybe not if you’re Anitra), Grove (or Orchard), A Gentle Rain, Roll Player (but only in digital form, according to Andrew), many roll-and-writes also fit this category.
